Nov. 26th, 2009 | 10:50 pm

There are now no words to describe how happy I am, so I will once again turn the talking over to Dean. )

BRING ON THE PAIN

I have no words that could come even close to describing the pain and suffering I am about to experience, so I'm just going to turn the talking over to Dean. )

I can't keep failing at poker like this. It's bad for my nonexistent rep.
</3

So, I found a poker webcomic today. It's so ridiculous (and not being updated, so it's not like I can follow it and glee about it or anything), but I like its characterization of Phil Laak so much better than MY characterization of Phil Laak. I mean. For all I know, that's what he really is like (hah, not likely). But. It was kind of epic fun. xD

I really want to watch I Bet You again since apparently I'm going to be dressing up at him (wtf, self; it could also be misunderstood that I'm dressing up as Ted Kaczynski).
So I went to look up the episode list to see which one I wanted to watch again, when I noticed that they'd filmed a season 3 already and were just looking for a network to play it since Mojo went under.
WTF, TV.
TAKE THAT SHOW AND PLAY IT PROUD.
I WANT TO SEEEEE. D:

And since I was in an adfl;kand;kfnadf fit of missing Phil and Antonio, I watched a 16 minute interview with Antonio Esfandiari instead. And that was really really really boring. D:

And now I miss Peter, SO IT OFFICIALLY POKER TIME.

Must. Not. Fail. ;-;

Everythingspiration is not a word.

Nov. 20th, 2009 | 03:13 pm

But I just realized.

The Winchesters are my everythingspiration.

They've both been through so much shit and they're both still fighting. I want to stand up when life kicks me down and hit back when it tries to push me again. I want to persevere and never give up. I want to be able to do what I know is right, and refuse what I know is wrong, even when what's right seems stupid. Because the world kind of sucks, with or without supernatural monsters, and I just want to Look Up and Stand My Ground.

When I'm older and I have to choose between telling my kids about the evil in the world or showing them puppies and rainbows and hiding that evil, I want to make the right choice. And no matter what I choose, I want to let them know they can be happy against all odds. (Which John totally didn't really do, but I strive for greater success!)

Not a secret because I'm damned proud to be proud of these boys (and Mary).

I've never really believed in crying at movies/books/tv shows when watching or reading all by yourself. Because it seems kind of lame. Who's there to see it?

Sure, there have been fictional events that made me want to cry. I'd never quite gotten there before. (Exception: The movie Click made me bawl like a baby, but that was unexpected and I wasn't alone.)

When Sammy was stabbed in the back with Dean right there, I wanted to cry. Nearly did. The whole tears gathering in the corner of my eyes thing happened, but I never really cried. (I wish I had, because that was worth crying over.)

There are a few things that'll do it, I've decided.

What happened tonight in Supernatural was one of those things. God fucking damn it.

I cried. This show has officially, for the first time ever, made. me. sob. and feel excruciating emotional pain.

VALLEY OF UNHAPPINESS
President: Idiot From Northern Europe
Population: Phil Hellmuth Jr.

and so totally going to wear it when I feel like it's going to be a Valley of Unhappiness day.

GO JOE.

And, okay, I'm a little bit late since he won already. But it's the thought that counts? xP
So, this is brutally unfair, I think.
Cada's four years older than me and has just won 8.5 million dollars. And the WSOP Main Event bracelet, which is like something I'd probably kind of die for.
And it's not fair that Eastgate only got to shine for a year as the youngest WSOP Main Event Champion while Hellmuth got almost two decades in that freaking spotlight.
And it's not fair that I want to quit school and find Cada and marry him and am not allowed to.

brb killing self.

btw THIS is what eight million dollars and a 21 year old looks like.

It's Fucking Thursday

Nov. 5th, 2009 | 03:43 pm

But that's not what I'm here to talk about today.
Two things.

First.
I went to the senior skit today. I went in thinking it was going to be absolute crap, because our story was apparently, "Not another spirit skit." We were breaking out of the norm. We weren't basing our skit on some story. We were fucking stupid.
Except, maybe not, because it wasn't that bad of a skit.
It wasn't amazing or anything, but they managed to do not anything really wrong and also make fun of Twilight.
So.
All in all, it wasn't bad.

Second.
So, we're watching Newsies in Econ and it's making me really happy.
The Newsies fandom, which is dead or dying or just really really tiny, leans towards shipping Jack (played by Christian Bale) and the other guy David something (played by David something).
So, I didn't approve. :\
Because he's Christian fucking Bale.
And I really just didn't get it, CB or not.

Well, now I kind of have to say, OH I GET IT NOW. Kind what.
I still kind of disapprove because it's Christian fucking Bale, but I digress.
What I really want to say is,
If David were a girl, he would be the most kickass Disney princess. Ever.
And it doesn't work the same that he has a sister that Jack gets to get with, because it's as if the writers forgot her existed and, halfway through the movie, went OH CRAP SARAH GET IN HERE.
David really really really should have been a girl.
D:

But that made me think.
I really don't have a favorite Disney princess (unless freaking Oliver counts, but he's a male kitty so no).
And I always figured I would.
It's kind of sad that I don't have one. ;-;
So, rather than going through all the trouble of trying to pick one (it'd probably be Snow White, just because, dude, it's Snow White), I'm just going to go with
David's my new favorite Disney princess!
:DDD

If Newsies was in a Kingdom Hearts game, I might actually be interested again.

Nov. 4th, 2009 | 12:14 pm

So, it seems like I haven't LJ-ranted in a while. Today's a good day to do it, because today in Econ, we
STARTED WATCHING NEWSIES.
adsfling;adgoiadng and :DDD

Screw this anger. Christian Bale is and will always be my favorite actor, no matter how much of an ass he's being.
Any man who'll get up and do a number like Santa Fe is a real man.
I've seen this movie maybe a dozen times.
And even single time, Santa Fe makes me want to cry.
Not really because it's so touching.
Because I'm so embarrassed for him.
And it's not even me up there dancing around like a loon.
I respect that.

And, oh, Spot Conlon. What a lovely little dork.
I still dont understand why all the newsies are so nervous around him. He's tiny and adorable and, okay yeah, a mean little kid from Brooklyn, but he's so cool.
And, yes, I understand that he's a weird little monkey sometimes.
BUT SO IS LES AND EVERYONE LOVES HIM ANYWAY. D<

So I'm going to end up going home and watching Newsies today. Probably tomorrow, too. And the next day. And every day until we finish the movie in class. Because I can't watch half of this movie and not watch the other half.

And CB is forgiven.
I don't think I ever thought for a moment I wouldn't go back to falling all over myself for his acting, but.
I thought maybe I'd be pissed for a while longer.
At least until Misha did something ridiculous.
Which, I guess, would have been never.
Because Misha's the boss.

But, um.
Misha's epic win.
UNFORTUNATELY.
CB's back. <3

WEEKEND OF DOOM.

Oct. 30th, 2009 | 12:19 pm

I finally have my plans! :DDD

Friday: stock up room with lots of caffeine, sugar, or really anything that will keep me awake for twenty-four hours comes Sunday; marathon Charmed (or SPN, if I decide the Halliwells aren't worth it); sneak rewatching The Boat That Rocked in here sometime, because Gaaaaaavin
Saturday: go to work; continue marathoning Charmed (or SPN, if I still think the Halliwells aren't worth it); at midnight (or is it eleven? daylight savings time could not have picked a worse time to kick it this year), start writing my nano
Sunday: no sleeping, no eating, no drinking, and generally no leaving my room; WRITE NANO for, like, 24 hours

I'm pretty sure I'm going to DIE, and I'm really glad the quarter is over. xD

If I end up hating Leo at the end of this week, I'm going to hurt puppies. D<

I think I'm going to go with my original costume idea and go for Frankie Four-Fingers. I really doubt I'll be able to pull it off, since he's BENICIO DEL FUCKING TORO and a total bamf/god/kickass actor, but then again it's not like my chances of not screwing Dante up was good. xP

And, really, there's no way I can screw this up more than I did Dante.

This is all because Elisa claims I can get handcuffs on short notice from Target. I think she's lying to me, but. Worth a shot.

I don't think I'll be able to find a kick-ass pink/purple shirt with ruffles like the one in the picture I'm using as a guide, but I think a red dress shirt and a scarf will replace that well. The rest should be easy if I just delve into my dad's closet again.

Now.

I'm off to cut off one of my fingers. He's not Frankie Five-Fingers, after all. Hope I get the right one! :D

Screw it. Way too much effort.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

Oct. 28th, 2009 | 05:37 pm

If you're going to make a shitty cheap movie, make it like this. Because, while cheap, it was not shitty at all. Quite the opposite, actually.

Just going to jot down a few thoughts now, so I don't forget everything when I go to write my review for class.

1) Throughout the whole freaking movie, I kept thinking, "Where the fuck are Sam and Dean when you really need them?" This is probably as good of a reason as any for me to never ever watch supernatural movies unrelated to SPN. And kind of in following with this, when Micah put down the powder to try to catch the demon leaving footsteps, I just wanted to scream, "SALT, YOU MORON! SALT KEEPS IT OUT!" SPN has so totally raped my brain. Brutally and thoroughly.

2) When I was reading the characters' names, I saw Katie and Micah. I pronounced it my-cah. But apparently, Katie pronounces it Mika, so I was really more sad than I should have been when he kicked it. xP

3) I'm so glad I saw this movie. I was going to say fuck it and go see Astroboy, actually, and the only reason I didn't was because the very nice guy who took my money said this was a good pre-Halloween movie. I thought he had a good point, was a nice guy, and took his suggestion. SO. GLAD. Was a good movie.

4) Kind of creepy. That could have been my house. D:

5) Well, I left my backpack, laptop-holder-filled-with-school-papers-and-not-a-laptop, and Calculus book in my passenger seat of my mom's car when I went to go watch the movie. Because, really, I don't think I'm going to be doing Calculus homework while watching a movie. Really. (I very seriously considered it, to be honest.) So, with all my stuff, my mom drove back to work to get a bit more done before coming to pick me up. All was well until I was getting out of the car as we got home, gathering all my stuff, and, "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR CALCULUS BOOK???" (Because we were talking about this in econ for some reason, and apparently that book is worth more than two hundred dollars.)  First thing that comes to mind: "FUCK. A demon took it. SAAAMMY. HALP." Then, once I started thinking, y'know, rationally, I looked under the seat and discovered it there. But. Um. Yeah. It felt really awkward being so easily influenced by that movie.

Overall: Pretty good movie. Not too scary. And not a typical blood, guts, and boobs action horror movie. A very meaningful horror movie. Kind of. I can totally imagine Dean watching it and going, "Oh, you poor fuckers."

Still really sad Sam and Dean didn't bust in with shotguns and holy water and crappy homemade EMF-reading-devices, though. Would have been epic. ;-;

Maybe my subconscious was trying to tell me that I needed to work on spngod icons in a dream, discovered I was awake at an ungodly hour working on my physics lab book, gave up, and scuttled over to Mika's dream instead.

This makes surprisingly a lot of sense, doesn't it? xD
